A decidedly different take on the Spiderman genre... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I like. Especially the way the silk came out of the anatomically correct part of the body.

Actually, I think it has been recently discovered that some kind of spiders are able to produce web through their paws. Which make spiderman kind of foreshadowing.

(except for the part the web actually come from a special apparatus, which make more sens. Or is it still the case nowadays?)

I seem to recall that Spiderman's hand based webs were special apparatus webs. There were a number of 'oops, out of web material' scenes in the comic books.

But then, how well do the movie 'resets' adhere to the comic books nowadays? (I'm not sure...)

Actually, Dee.
They even did a section in the comics where Peter's webs became natural like in the movies.

But yes, up until the movies, he always wore "web shooters" on his wrists that would occasionally run out.

((Sorry... LONG time Spider-man geek here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ))

I like what they've done with Spinnerette so far, though

I always liked the way Spiderman 2099's spinnerets pretty well ringed his forearms. Caused at least baddy to give himself a face full of webbing, when he grabbed Miguel's arm in the wrong place.

Poor Petey's had more retcon's lately. One of the more interesting things to have come from his mechanical web shooters was when he improperly mixed a batch of webbing. It allowed him to create his original chrome and black spider armor. I don't think it's ever been used outside of that one issue, though.

I love the way Spinnerette's been picking apart the superhero genre, while jumping into it with both feet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I've been so far out of the mainstream of comics that Spiderman could have been born and raised with multiple limbs in one 'reset' and I wouldn't have heard about of it.

That said, I've always liked Spiderman. His down to earth problems combined with his abilities make for interesting story lines.
